Dear Johnson County High School Families,
We want to welcome you to Johnson County High School, home of the Longhorns! We are excited
about the coming school year, and our staff has worked hard to prepare for a successful year. Here at
JCHS, we focus on the core values of Respect, Community, Teamwork, Perseverance and Growth. Our
staff are committed to supporting our students and each other, with a firm believe that if we Strive
Together, we will Thrive Together!
With one of our core values being Community, we want to emphasize the value of the role of families.
Your support of your students is crucial, and we welcome it. You know your student better than anyone,
and we want to collaborate with you in making sure that your student finds his or her path. As such,
please don’t hesitate to communicate with us as you feel the need. We are here to listen and support,
because, like you, we want the very best for your student. Please help us encourage each of them in the
areas of behavior and safety, learning, attendance, and extra-curricular activities. By working together,
we can truly embody our core values.
Finally, please know that, for us, being part of the JCHS Family and Community is a privilege, and it is
one that we don’t take lightly. Educating students is a privilege, and we are honored to do so. We
