Hello, my name is Teresa Niemann. I am an English Literature and composition teacher, along with being an RTI teacher. when i finally figureded out what i wanted to be when i grew up, i became an English teacher. I just graduated in 2014 from ETSU. My teaching style is a bit unique and out of the box at times. I enjoy dooing activities that get you up annd moving at times, things that sacre you (all in fun). Originally, i am from Florida, but have been in North Carolina and Tennessee longer. My family consists of a wonderful husband and four children. Two of my children have graduated from JCHS, one is a juior and the last one is in middle school. It has been wonderful living and working in Johnson COunty and I look forward to meeting all of you!


Educational Background:

  • Undergraduate – I graduated from East Tennesse State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of arts in Secondary English Education.

Prior Experience:

  • Teacher – Johnson County High School (2015 – present)


 Primary Courses/ Syllabus:

  •  English /American Literature is a fun and exiting ,ixture of history, art, and intriguing stories. We will be reading some of the most popular and interesting peices from our country’s finest writers (Arthus Miller, Mark Twain, Emily Dickinson, Edger Allan Poe, etc.). We will read a combination of poems, short stories, and two novels throughtout the course. Some reading will be completed within class, but out of class reading will be required to succeed in this class. while reading, we will cover literary devices, life lessons, vocabulary words, and general understanding of texts. Various genres of writing will be covered. One novel will be provided to the students by the school. if the student loses the novel or for any reason fails to retur the novel to the teacher, the student’s final grade for their project will remain a zero untill the novel is replaced or paid for in full.
